"I decided to join Kate in March 2019 after seeing the enjoyment and success my wife was achieving as a result of Kate’s coaching, with the goal of competing in longer format triathlons.
Kate is a fantastic mentor and support, with the skills, ability and experience to coach across multiple sports, including running, swimming, cycling, mountain biking and trail running to name a few.
Kate continues to provide me with programs and coaching which are focused on my individual needs, goals and development. Kate’s approach to tailoring my program to consider my goals and the competing priorities in life (such as home and work) ensures I have the best possible chance of managing home, work, training and competing. It certainly isn’t 'one size fits all'!! This is made possible by regular communication from Kate to check on how things are going and make changes where required.
Recently Kate established Triathlon Adventures Geelong (TAG), which has been hugely successful. TAG caters for athletes of all abilities, with varying goals and motivators, across multiple sports. The aim of TAG is to have fun and enjoy the activities. Under Kate’s leadership, the fantastic group of people who make up the TAG team ensure that aim is met. Of course if you want to put your head down, work hard and achieve some great results, TAG is the place to go! And importantly, TAG has a number of social activities where everyone can get together and have fun.
Through TAG, Kate provides group sessions which enable her athletes to stay connected, supported, motivated and challenged. Group sessions include social sessions, technical and skills work and sessions tailored to upcoming events. Kate also provides some individual sessions to TAG members to work on specific items.

Dramatic improvement in technique & fitness
"Last year I decided I wanted to better my running technique. A friend recommended I speak with Kate. I explained to Kate that I was a recreational runner but was keen to tackle some more challenging trail runs.
Working with Kate has dramatically improved my fitness, running form and confidence. Now in my 40s, I’m running faster than I was in my 20s. Kate is an excellent listener, is encouraging and provides helpful advice and feedback.

"In 2017, I was referred to Kate from a friend when I wanted to tackle the Ironman Geelong 70.3. She was the perfect balance for me – a highly experienced performance coach and athlete with a friendly personality and most importantly, she understood my busy family and work commitments.
It was a 6 month build up and I was super happy with my result. I was a weak swimmer and cyclist but in 6 months, I was swimming over 2km, riding 50-90km and gaining confidence in all things triathlon. I had a great race and exceeded my own expectations. I enjoyed the training, coaching style and social aspect so much that I have continuously stayed on program with Kate.
We are constantly setting goals and I enjoy working together to do make it happen. In 2018, I wanted to represent Australia at the 2019 Age Group World Triathlon Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland. Having experienced this world class event herself many times, Kate set out a plan and program for me to achieve qualification. This has definitely been the highlight of my short triathlon journey and I would not have been able to do this without Kate.
Not all great athletes make great coaches but Kate is definitely an exception to this. Her wealth of knowledge in triathlon, running, cycling, swimming, mountain biking (to name a few) balanced with her fun nature creates a team environment that pushes you to be the best version of you. There have been days where I wondered how on earth did I – just an ordinary person – get through that set? Training is always highly organised and our safety is always at the forefront of Kate's mind.
I have made lifelong friendships through being a part of Kate’s crew and I love that everyone is super supportive and encouraging regardless of what level you are at.

"Joining Triathlon Adventures Geelong has been such an incredible life changing experience. The group training and support is like nothing I have ever experienced before.
